Zane and Adriana made their way back to the Foster's school. He spotted Logan, Ayla, Caroline, Darius, Chase, and Kelton surrounding a young teenage girl with black and gold eyes.
"Who is that?" Adriana asked and Zane shrugged.
When they walked farther to the other mutants they both understood.
Another mutant.
The girl, seeing new faces held out her hand. "I'm Willamina, a new mutant here."
"Interesting," Zane said, though he wasn't the least bit interested. All he was thinking about was making that campfire.
Adriana rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. "All right, Zane. Go do it." Zane grinned and went to find stones to create an area where the fire wouldn't escape.
"I'm Adriana," She said as she shook Willamina's hand. "What can you do?"
"I'm a telepath," Willamina said. "You?"
Adriana grinned and suddenly smoke wound around Willamina's legs. "I can control and create smoke."
Willamina removed the smoke through telepathy.
"It's done!" Zane said with clear glee. The stones were set up in a circle, log's where stacked up inside the stone circle.
"There's no fire," Caroline said.
Zane rolled his eyes, snapped his fingers and a small fire appeared on the tip of his finger. He bent down and set the fire on the logs. Soon the logs were ablaze.
"Congrats, you created a campfire," Ayla rolled her eyes and sat down on the grass beside the fire.
Zane smiled with contempt and gestured for Adriana to sit by him.
The flames lit up the night sky. Embers slowly drifted off, upwards.
"We need marshmallows!" Logan said and Caroline snorted. "You and your stomach."
"It's true," Kelton said and Zane nodded.
(There, that's the best I could do, continue role playing XD)
Adriana smiled at the others and then rolled her eyes at Logan. She tightened her grip slightly on Zane's hand and then stared deeply into the fire, watching the flames turning blue, orange, and yellow.

Caroline disappeared into the house/school(?) and came back with a bag of marshmallows. She sat down beside Logan and tossed it too him. His eyes lit up and he hugged Caroline. "And this is why I la-hoove you!"
"Ugh, get away from me," Caroline pushed him away and laughed.
"Hand me some!" Kelton said and found a stick. Logan tossed him a marshmellow and he placed it on his stick and roasted it with a grin.
[ Nope. I tells the truth. ]
ReplyDeleteDarius walked out of the house as he saw everyone gathering around and then grinned when he saw Adriana, his eyes shining. Then he saw Zane beside her and growled lowly.
Darius walked over to Adriana and asked, "Can I sit here?"
Adriana smiled and said, "Sure!"
Chase walked outside and saw everyone outside, raosting marshmallows. He turned to enter the house, but he heard Adriana call out, "Hey Chase! Chase, please come join us!"
Chase gritted his teeth and slowly turned and walked back. He'd never been able to say 'no' to a girl. Ever. He sullenly stabbed an innocent marshmallow with a stick and hung it over the fire, threatening its life.
Adriana grinned as she saw Chase and Darius coming out to see the campfire, and was happy that Darius had come. He hardly ever hung out with them, and now they could become friends?
She was sad when Chase turned to leave, but when she called out after him, he reluctantly turned around and joined them.
Adriana shot him a comforting smile and then refocused back to the others, laughing slightly at Kelton, Caroline, and Logan.
Kelton ate his marshmallow with satisfaction. "Perfect."
ReplyDeleteAyla rolled her eyes. She laid down on the grass, watching the stars. She didn't really want to be here.
Logan placed three marshmallows on his stick and roasted them with glee.
Caroline watched him and laughed. "You are such a pig."
"Am not," Logan protested and shoved the three marshmallow's in his mouth. "Hot!" He said after he swallowed them and a cold wind blasted his face. He sighed with relief.
Zane smiled at Adriana.
Adriana stuck a marshmallow on a stick and then put it in the fire, her hunger getting the best of her.
ReplyDeleteChase looked up at the stars and then opened up the water bottle someone had left behind. It was half-full, so he manipulated the water and began to play around, bored with no one to talk to.
Darius narrowed his eyes at Zane and then looked towards Adriana. She was roasting a marshmallow. I wonder if they kissed. They're so close. Damnit, this is gonna be harder than I thought. Darius thought to himself, trying to think of a plan to get Adriana.
Zane watched Adriana and laughed. "You're gonna burn it," he said.
ReplyDeleteKelton, bored looked at everyone and went into their minds. He was startled to hear what Darius had to think and burst into laughter.
Ayla looked at Kelton with curiousity than continued watching the stars.
Logan looked at Caroline. "Next time I will cool my own face off," he said and blasted her with wind.
"Do you really want to go there?" Caroline threatened, her gaze humor-filled and soon a cloud appeared over Logan's head.
"No, I give. I give!" Logan said and covered his head with his hands.
Adriana stuck her tongue out at Zane and said, "No I won't!"
ReplyDeleteThen her marshmallow fell into the ground and made a plop! noise. Adriana's face hardened at she stared at the sky. She then turned to Zane and said flatly, "You cursed my marshmallow."
Chase threw the water in alarm as Kelton laughed and cursed when it fell onto his face and into the ground. Chase brushed it off with his powers and sat up, bored. He saw Ayla watching the stars and considered apologizing for this morning, then decided against it.
She probably doesn't even care. I shouldn't bother her. He thought to himself.
Get out of my head Kelton! Darius snarled angrily when he realized Kelton was reading his mind. Darius bared his teeth angrily and muttered, "I can't get any privacy around here."
Kelton's amusment grew as Darius got mad. As he looked around he saw Chase looking at Ayla. He dove into his mind and snickered.
ReplyDeleteAyla bit her lip. She was bored and she felt bad about how rude she had been acting lately. Instead of gathering the courage of apologizing to everyone she stayed quiet and continued watched the night sky.
Zane laughed. "Good!" He smiled and handed her a marshmallow. "Consider it un-cursed."
Darius hissed at Kelton furiously and then threw a marshmallow he'd just taken out of the fire. He grinned as it smacked Kelton in the face and then stood up, stretching.
ReplyDeleteAdriana took the marshmallow Zane offered her and then threw it in his face. "Now it's uncursed," She said, grinning.
"Why are marshmallows being chucked in faces?" Zane said dramatically and ate the marshmallow.
ReplyDelete"Oh, you're gonna regret that shapeshifter," Kelton growled and went into Darius' mind. He began to control Darius' mind and made him walk to the fire.
Ayla looked up when she heard the marshmallows smacking faces. She got up and raced over to Darius as he began to the fire. She touched him and both of them went through the flames.
Kelton growled and crossed his arms, letting go of Darius' mind.
Logan and Caroline looked at each other than to Darius.
Adriana screamed as Kelton took over Darius and forced him to walk into the fire. She raced up from her seat and threw herself at him. "What is wrong with you!?" She growled furiously. "You could have hurt Darius!"
ReplyDeleteDarius snarled as Kelton forced him to walk into the fire and hissed painfully as the flames burned his shoes. Suddenly Ayla was at his side, taking his arm, and they grazed over the fire, unhurt. Darius fell to the ground as his shoes burned his feet and he tossed them onto the ground, wincing at the pain.
Chase saw Darius collapse onto the ground and then watched Adriana as she threw herself onto Kelton and broke his concentration on Darius.
"Oh cry me a river," Kelton said and lightly pushed her off of him. "I didn't hurt him, did I?"
ReplyDeleteAdriana bared her teeth furiously at Kelton and then punched him in the face.
ReplyDelete"You could have! You could have hurt Darius, you egotistical, bratty, stupid, emo, cocky, selfish, self-centered, son of a--"
"ADRIANA!" Chase yelled.
Zane ran over and grabbed Adriana. "Stop, I think he gets it." He said quietly.
ReplyDeleteKelton rolled his eyes, got up, and entered the house. "Good," He muttered to himself.
Ayla watched and looked at Darius. "You alright?" She asked.
Caroline shook his head and Logan pushed away the marshmallow he was about to roast. "Suddenly, I'm not so hungry." Caroline nodded.
Adriana yanked her wrist out of Zane' grip and then glared after Kelton. "Did you see what he did!?" She hissed. Adriana let out another growl and then stormed away, dark red smoke emanating from her hands.
ReplyDeleteChase looked at Adriana as she walked away and then murmured, "This isn't how it was supposed to turn out.."
Darius nodded slowly at Ayla. "Ye-yeah. I'm fine," He said, wincing.
"I'll be right back," Ayla said, running to the house not even using the door. She appeared through the wall holding something. When she reached Darius she handed it to him. "Ice, put on your feet," She advised.
ReplyDelete"Agreed," Caroline said, looking at Chase.
Zane shook his head.
Darius snatched the ice from Ayla and then sighed in relief. "Thank you, Ayla," He mumbled.
ReplyDelete"No problem," She said and sat on the grass. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and wrapped her arms around her legs.
ReplyDeleteDarius slowly took the ice away from his feet and then laid down on the grass. He looked up at the stars and then closed his eyes, his feet feeling better.
ReplyDeleteChase took the melting ice from Darius and then manipulated the water to encase his feet and then held it there.
Adriana put her hands together and created a large, red/black cloud. She shot it at the ground and grinned as the ground exploded.
Ayla looked away to the forest. She pursed her lips, a habit she always did when she was thinking.
ReplyDeleteKelton, bored, got up and disappeared as he walked towards the forest.
Logan looked at Caroline. "Well, I'm tired." He said and she nodded. He stood up, offered a hand and helped her up. "G'night," Logan said as he walked back to the house.
Caroline forced a faint smile and waved before entering the house.
Chase let the water slide down Darius' feet and then said,"I'm going to bed. Goodnight, Ayla and Darius."
ReplyDeleteThen he turned and slowly walked inside of the house, then entered his room and threw himself onto his bed.
Adriana watched Kelton closely and saw him entering the woods. "Time to make you pay, Kelton," She muttered under her breath as she jogged after him.
"Bye," Ayla said quietly.
ReplyDeleteKelton froze when he heard someone than spun around to see Adriana. "What do you want?" He hissed. "Try something and I'll make you regret it," He said and probed inside her mind.
[ LOL. I read the word 'probed' and I immediately though of rape. xDD ]
ReplyDeleteAdriana tensed as she felt Kelton inside of her mind and then relaxed. She knew how to block telepaths. Adriana thought of Zane and focused. Zane's smile, Zane's laugh, Zane kissing her and running after her when she'd tripped.

Adriana tackled Kelton and punched him in the face. "Shut up you worm." She growled.
Kelton shoved her off. "Get off me, go away. Go make out with Darius or Zane you witch!" Kelton growled and stood up, brushing the dirt and grit off of himself than began walking away.
ReplyDeleteAdriana filled her hands with a dark red smoke and threw it at Kelton. She smiled darkly as he breathed it in and began to choke. Suddenly he was on the ground, slowly passing out.
ReplyDelete"I'll see you in about three days, Kelton." She said, turning away. "And as for making out with Darius or Zane, I'm only interested in Zane, thank you very much."
Kelton closed his eyes as darkness overcame him.
